Q: Is it ever hard ... getting up in the morning because you’re so busy? And what do you do to combat that?
Nick: We really love what we do. I mean at the end of day when we get to play a show and be with our fans, it’s all worth it, the early morning, the late nights, whatever it may be. It’s all worth it at the end of the day.
Q:What is the best element of your new “Burning Up” tour? What’s your favorite song to perform?
Kevin: Well, there’s a lot of surprises. Some really cool production elements. ... It’s amazing. I don’t want to give any secrets, but there’s a lot of fire and a lot of pyro, which is definitely fun. And there are some other cool things, like we get to do some songs from the movie.
Q: Who have been some of your major influences?
Joe: For us there’s been plenty. The major ones are like Jefferson Starship, Prince, Johnny Cash, some of the old stuff. We’ve grown up on the BeeGees from our parents. And we love Switchfoot and their record, “The Beautiful Letdown.” ... We discover new music every day and we continually are adding things to our iTunes list.

Concert review
There were a few surprises, including brief musical nods to the White Stripes and Usher. Two cellists joined the Jonases at the end of the catwalk for the stripped-down “Gotta Find You” (from the Disney TV movie “Camp Rock”), during which Joe picked up a tiny girl from the audience who joined in on the chorus before castmate Lovato appeared on stage to lead “This Is Me.”

Sliced balls, water hazards, even 15-year-old Nick Jonas' sprained ankle didn't keep the trio from having a good time.
Although Nick claims to be the best golfer, the declaration was a matter of dispute among the siblings.

"We're doing whatever we can do make kids' lives better," Nick Jonas, 15, told Usmagazine.com as they toured St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Target House in Memphis on Monday.
"[It's] something that's been in our hearts for a long time," Joe Jonas, 18, told Us.
"Our parents and grandparents have all donated to St. Jude!" Nick added.
Nick's personal health has given him insight into children's issues.
"I'm a diabetic," he said. "I know that when someone is diagnosed with something like that they feel alone. If we can just offer some encouragement even if it's just taking a photo or signing an autograph then we're doing our part to help them not feel so alone."
Kevin Jonas, 20, was touched by the tour of the facility.
"It was very touching to meet all of these kids and look them in the eyes," he told Us. "Even if it's only for a moment, it helps to take that pain away. The pure joy in their eyes is possibly the coolest thing I have ever seen in my life."

In town for their "Burning Up" concert tour, the Jonas Brothers on Wednesday spent their time golfing, lunching at Applebee's and and signing autographs for fans lucky enough to have gotten wind of their top-secret schedule.
The Cary News was in the press pool for the ride along to Eagle Ridge Golf Course and ending at the Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion at Walnut Creek for a sound check as fans began arriving for the concert.

The Jonas Brothers arrived in Charlotte and here's their schedule:
8 a.m.: The brothers arrive in Charlotte after playing Cincinnati the night before.
Noon: News conference with select group of media at the Westin Charlotte. Among the highlights: Joe jokes that the biggest thing he looks forward to when visiting family in North Carolina (his father's side of the family is from Gaston County) is Cracker Barrel. His brothers chime in, “We love having family around. Family is No.1 for us.”
12:30 p.m.: Autograph signings for the media, including an electric guitar that Ace & TJ from Kiss 95.1 will auction for their charity, Grin Kids.
12:37 p.m.: Make the day of a group of girls waiting outside the Westin lobby by posing for photos and signing autographs.
1 p.m.: The boys and their bandmates take part in a heated kickball game at Jim B. Whittington Park in Dilworth against the Verizon tour workers. They may be superstars before the age of 21, but they're not above a few “your mom” jokes at key points in the game. Final score: Jonas Brothers 7, Verizon 5.
2:15 p.m.: After comparing skinned elbows, the group breaks for a picnic lunch. Nick looks worriedly at his foot, swollen from kicking the ball, but politely offers to let the women of the group go through the buffet line first.
3 p.m.: Depart park and head to Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre. In the brothers' black Tahoe: bodyguard Big Rob, assistants and little brother, Frankie, 7 – arguably the biggest celeb among the crew members, who are always looking out for him and making him feel included.
3:31 p.m.: Arrive at Verizon through VIP entrance. Countless tractor-trailers and tour buses line the backstage area. One of them is the state-of-the-art Verizon Wireless Mobile tour bus where the boys are recording new material for their next album. Band members tool around the parking lot on motorbikes. The brothers hop out of their SUV and into the air-conditioned tour bus for a brief break.
5 p.m.:Taylor Swift, country star and friend of the boys, spotted walking backstage.
5:25 p.m.: Kevin re-emerges from the tour bus on his Segway. Did he nap? Nope, but he did get in a game of “Mario Kart.”
6:15 p.m.: The brothers meet more than 500 screaming girls in a VIP meet-and-greet. While the fans wait, they sing some of the guys' songs in line.
9:15 p.m.: The boys take the stage to the deafening screams of 20,000 girls.
After the show, the boys planned to hop back on the bus and head to their next stop in Raleigh. What they're most excited about in Raleigh? A day of golfing.

Hi everyone!
Today was a life changing day. We got up really really early and caught a flight to Memphis, TN where we visited the St. Jude's Children's Hospital. This facility is where children with cancer go for treatment. We met so many of the kids and they were so happy to see us. Thanks to all of you we were able to leave them a check for $10,000. We really hope we will be able to do more. The children were inspirations to all of us.
After we finished we flew to Cincinnati, OH for another concert. We performed for approx. 15,000 people. The place looked packed. There was so much excitement in the place. It is always fun to visit Ohio.
We drove all night and woke up here in Charlotte. We will visit some of our family here and then do a show tonight.
We are so excited about our new song coming out on ITunes last night. When we woke up this morning it was already at No. 13. Make sure you take a listen.
Next week will be the last song before the CD comes out on August 12th...

Hey everyone!
The last few days have been amazing! We have been very busy.
We were in Hershey PA for the largest show of the summer. Over 30,000 people filled our first ever stadium show. Last summer we were in the park in front of 600 people in 2 shows. We simply could not believe our eyes (and ears). IT was unbelievable. There were so many people and they were all so excited. We heard that there were people there all day celebrating. They even had a tail gating party. They gave us each a 5 pound chocolate bar with our pics on it. They told us that they had only done that for us and the Rolling Stones. Pretty unbelievable.
Last night we were in Hartford, Conn. We still remember our first sell out ever was in HArtford (there were 100 people in the club). Last night there were 21,000. It is so crazy! It was one of the loudest crowds of the summer.
Today is a day off THEN we will leave tomorrow to visit a hospital for kids with serious illness. Then we are off to OHIO for shows.
Don't forget about MTV Video Music Awards voting and Teen Choice Awards.

Hey everyone!
What a day! We started the day with a press conference. We actually have a group of press showing up on specific days while we are on tour. Today was special because we were able to give a donation from the Jonas Brothers' Change For the Children Foundation to the UN Nothing But Nets charity that provides protective nets for children in Africa to protect them from possible Malaria. Check out changeforthechildren.org for details of how you can help.
After the press conference we went to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and rode in the cars around the speedway. It was so fast but so fun.
The concert was electric. There were almost 19,000 people there. It feels like the show gets better each night. We really can't wait to see all of you while we are out on tour.
Yesterday was big because our ROLLING STONE MAGAZINE COVER came out. You can get it now on stands everywhere. WE are so honored to be on the cover and have an article in Rolling Stones. Hope you like it.

Hey everyone!
Today was an amazing day in St. Louis. We started the day with a press conference. Then we went from the hotel to the stadium where the St. Louis Cardinals play. We actually got to go on to the field and have hitting practice. It was an amazing honor!!
We spent some time with the Coach and took pictures with people that showed up.
Then we went to a great ice cream spot. It is famous in St. Louis.
We ended the night in front of 18,000 at the Verizon Amphitheater. The crowd was amazing.
This was the first night that we co-headlined with Avril Lavigne. It was fun to share the stage with her again.
Each night the crowd seems to be growing and getting into the songs more and more. We can't wait to see everyone on the rest of the tour.
Less than 3 weeks until the release of our new CD. We re so excited for everyone to hear the new songs.

Just wanted to update you from the road. We took the day off on Sunday. It was awesome to stop for a day and do nothing except rest and have fun.
On Monday we flew into Omaha, Nebraska and had a show. It was an amazing show. The crowd was up and shouting before we even took the stage. It was one of the loudest crowds yet. It was an arena so we were inside. Most of the summer we will be outside in amphitheaters.
After the show we flew to St. Louis. Today we will be joined by Avril Lavigne. She is doing 8 dates with us on our summer tour. Will be good to see her again.

Up close and personal with Kevin, Joe, and Nick
It all started with Sierra Moore.
After surviving a gunshot wound in northeast Denver, the Mile High was not a happy place for the eight-year-old girl. This past July 19 though, things started to brighten up. Moore was bestowed an up close and personal visit with teen phenoms the Jonas Brothers and premier seat to their concert at Fiddler’s Green, along with a meet and greet with another Disney star, Demi Lovato. Moore’s aunt, Jessica Gay, rushed her to a local Burger King for help after the tragic shooting, and as such both were awarded "hometown heroes" by the company.
Metromix was on hand along with 9News, as we had the fortunate opportunity to follow Moore, along with the trio of heartthrob fellas around the city. From a stop at the batting cages to the sound check, our very own Christina Shann along with Modest Moose Productions’ Danny Diaz got to hang with the boys all day; and hey, it’s okay, you don’t have to admit you like them…we already saw you sing along at the concert.

Add the Jonas Brothers to the list of musicians who want their own fashion line.
"I'm not saying we're the best designers in the world, but being able to make what we like, that would be so cool," oldest sibling Kevin, 20, told me the other day in Hollywood, where the trio was appearing on FNMTV Premieres. "We love dressing up and putting on different kinds of clothes."
And the Jonas empire doesn't end there.
Nick, 15, says a Christmas album is a definite possibility. "We wrote a holiday song, "Girl of My Dreams," and sang it at the Disney parade last year," he said, adding, "It was a lot of fun…Maybe there is a holiday album in our future."

Tarrant County records indicate that members of the Jonas Brothers — the innocent brother band turned pop cult craze — granted power of attorney to their mother, Denise Jonas, for the purpose of buying a six-bedroom house in Vaquero, a gated community in Westlake. The documents were signed June 12.
Pro golfer Brian Watts, who lives on Wisteria, discovered he had new neighbors when he returned from a three-week playing stint in Japan.
"I didn’t even know who the Jonas Brothers were or what kind of music they played," Mr. Watts said. "But my wife and kids were enthralled. I’ve seen them from a distance and they seem like down-to-earth kids. Word spreads fast. (PGA Tour player) Bo Van Pelt texted me, saying, ‘I told my daughter that the Jonas Brothers were your neighbors. She said told me that she wants to go live with the Watts.’"

Hey everyone!
Sorry we have not been able to write. It has been crazy busy for the last few days. We spent a few days in Northern California doing shows in San Jose, Sacramento, and San Francisco. All of the shows were amazing. During one of the shows we were attacked by bugs. There were bugs everywhere. In Sacramento the mayor proclaimed it Jonas Brothers Day! That was really cool. We did a special event for Radio Disney in Sacramento as well.
Last night we were on the first live broadcast of FNMTV (Friday Night MTV). We performed BURNIN' UP. We had a great time. It was really hard to hear over all the screaming.
We also announced that we are the 1st act booked to perform on the MTV VMAs (Video Music Awards). How cool i s that?
Then we went to the Roxy in LA to show our support to Demi Lovato. She did an amazing job.
Later we went to the House of Blues and saw Rooney (from our WYLMITEs tour). Great to hear them again and hang out!

Madonna, Sting, Janet Jackson -- you can now count the Jonas Brothers among the elite list of names to perform at MTV's Video Music Awards. ET was on hand for a press conference Friday as the pop trio announced they'll flex their musical muscles on the annual awards show, set to air live September 7 at 9 p.m.Though the brothers didn't reveal what irresistibly catchy tune in their back catalog they'd play, they did divulge that the song would involve fan interaction.
Then, after bopping through a cover of Shania Twain's "I'm Gonna Get You," they revealed that Joe graduated high school this week!
The Jonases and their "Camp Rock" co-star Demi Lovato are touring together this summer, after which they'll get back to work on their respective Disney Channel series, "J.O.N.A.S." and "Welcome to Motherhood."

Look what Kevin has got to say:"A big congratulations to Joe," brother Kevin Jonas, 20, said before a Los Angeles taping of MTV's new music show FNMTV on Friday. "He just graduated from high school. It happened yesterday so it's a big deal."
Joe, 18, who took correspondence courses while touring, said he was relieved to have sent in his last high school assignment on Thursday. "I haven't heard from the school yet. But I'm officially done with the work," said Joe, who "played a concert" to celebrate.

The Jonas Brothers join host Pete Wentz during the live taping of MTV’s FNMTV on Friday at Hollywood’s Ren Mar Studios.
Kevin, 20, Joe, 18, and Nick, 15, announced that they will be debuting the second single from their new album, A Little Bit Longer, during the MTV Video Music Awards. The 2008 VMAs will air live from Paramount Studios in Los Angeles and one-time only in its original format on Sunday, September 7, 2008 @ 9PM (Live ET/Tape Delayed PT).
“It’s going to be an exciting performance,” says Nick. “We’re going to involve the fans in it.”
Also announced during FNMTV: Joe graduated high school. Congrats!

Living the Dream: We Are Family!
Here's the latest episode of 'Living the Dream'!
The trio will be debuting a new song from their new album during the MTV Video Music Awards, sources confirm.
This will be the first time the boys will be performing at the VMAs and the first time they'll be performing the song.
An official announcement is due later tonight during MTV's new show, FNMTV Premieres.
Also, for the first time, MTV viewers will decide on nominees by voting for their faves online.
The VMAs will air live from Hollywood on Sept. 7.

"Last night, at their concert, Coldplay went up and introduced themselves (to the crowd). They said, ‘Hi, we’re the Jonas Brothers’ older brothers,’” Joe said. “Just the fact they knew who we were — we’re huge Coldplay fans, so it’s just so cool.”
“So many times kids come to the meet-and-greets and they have diabetes and they’ll say to Nick, they finally feel like they’re not the only ones out there,” Joe added. “It’s really cool to see that he can be such a leader for these kids.”
