Nick's Simple Wins Update
Hello from the set of Camp Rock 2-
This summer consisted of some memorable moments… Teen Choice Awards, performing on Good Morning America & The Today Show, Speaking in front of a Senate committee and the National Press Club, and traveling across North America on tour… to name a few!
We also had a softball team this summer as well called The Road Dogs. It was so much fun playing with our band.
Filming is going well; we should finish shooting at the end of the month. It is great to see everyone again and catch up on what they have been doing since we were last together.
My blog picture this month is from my birthday celebration. My family surprised me with a very special gift this year. I was given the piano that I wrote “A Little Bit Longer” on while filming the first Camp Rock Movie. The song will always have a special place in my heart and now to be gifted the piano – I was not expecting such a gift and was so thankful to my family.
I can’t believe all the outstanding entries that were turned in for the creativity contest. Well done everyone! It wouldn’t have been such a huge success without all your entries and votes in helping to pick each monthly winner. I can’t wait to work with Bayer to pick the winners! We’ll be announcing the grand prize winners very soon so stay tuned.
I've been informed that apparently, a certain "JB.SG Atiqah" went on to tag and said that "JB IS COMING TO SINGAPORE" at 5.05pm today. Let me clarify some things and make it clear to everyone. (:
1. That person who posed as me on the tagboard at 5.05 pm is NOT JB.SG's Webmiss, Atiqah, me. At 5.05pm, I was at Tampines Mall accompanying a friend.
2. I really do wish I could enlighten all of your lifes (as well as mine and the jb.sg girls') right now but seriously, for now, the Jonas Brothers have not said anything about coming to Singapore. The only thing that JB.SG knows is the Jonas Brothers said a few times in their live chat that they are "looking into touring Asia"/"want to go to Asia for tour".
3. We emailed Official Authorities (Disney Singapore) a few days ago to ask them again about this matter and we have been informed that there are no official news by the Jonas Brothers about them coming to Singapore. Disney Singapore / Universal Music Singapore will inform us immediately when the Jonas Brothers lists Singapore as one of their tour locations in Asia. Yes, this is the truth and JB.SG tells nothing but the truth. We are reporting this as said by the authorities.
4. JB.SG's Staffs will not post such big news on the tagboard. It's weird isn't it? Shouldn't such amazing news be posted on the Site Post instead?? So yes, do not believe any statements saying that the Jonas Brothers Are Coming To Singapore unless it is posted on the JB.SG's main posts. Official News like that should be posted on the main posts, not the tagboard.
I'm really sorry if the person who posed as me at 5.05pm has brought your hopes high up. I do not wish any JB.SG fans to feel so excited because of a comment that has absolutely no validity or supporting information turns out to be false.
Just like all of you, JB.SG girls are praying and hoping that the Jonas Brothers will come to Singapore. Some of us have been hoping since when the Jonas Brothers debuted with It's About Time. Yes, it's that long and we've been hoping and praying all this while for the Jonas Brothers to come to Singapore one day. We have faith and we believe that the Jonas Brothers will come. Anna Maria Perez de Tagle Dishes on Jonas Wedding, ‘Camp Rock 2’
Fame star Anna Maria Perez de Tagle is getting ample time with the Jonas Brothers while she films Camp Rock 2.
How have Kevin, Joe and Nick changed since the first installment? After all, Kevin’s engaged to Danielle Deleasa, Joe has romanced leading ladies including Taylor Swift and Camilla Belle and Nick has been spotted with Miley Cyrus again since filming the original Disney Channel movie in 2008.
“Not at all, which is what I love,” she tells me. “They’re still the sweet gentleman that pull out your chair and push it back in. It’s easy to talk to them. They’re normal guys, and that’s what I love. They haven’t changed at all. We’ve all just grown; we’ve all just aged.”
Anna hopes to attend Kevin’s upcoming nuptials if she’s invited. What present will she get for the happy couple?
“I honestly don’t know because both Danielle and Kevin are amazing people, and just to see them as a couple is incredible,” she says. “I don’t know what I’d give them because I have everything already.”
What has she learned from the JoBros?
“Just by watching them onstage, I got to see how their stage presence translates onscreen,” she says. “They’re amazing guys, so any chance I get to talk to them, I do.”
What can we expect from Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, which is filming now?
“People are going to be surprised by Camp Rock 2,” Anna tells me. “It’s gonna be a good movie You’ll see amazing songs by the Jonas Brothers, Demi has an amazing song. Just bigger and better dance numbers. It’s more intense this time. It’s more of a musical, so people will look forward to that.”
Taking a short break from filming Camp Rock 2, Joe Jonas makes a trip back to Beverly Hills to shop around for a new home on Saturday afternoon (September 26).
The 20-year-old musician/actor recently caught up with JJJ and exclusively revealed the mystery behind Valentine’s Day and whether he would be starring opposite Jennifer Garner and Taylor Lautner.
He shared, “I actually went for the audition and it was looking really good, but scheduling just wasn’t working out. They were filming in the summer and we [Jonas Brothers] were touring during the summer. We figured it out on our part but it was just difficult because they’re working with so many superstars, that scheduling is really hard to adjust than a normal film like if it was just me and a few other people.”
Joe continued, “It’s Anne Hathaway and all these other big stars that star in that movie and they have to shift schedules around. I think we’re going to try and do something for that, but it all depends on schedules.”

In the upcoming episode “The Tale of the Haunted Firehouse,” Kevin enlists the help of Joe, Nick and Stella (Staub) to find a ghost he believes may be haunting the firehouse. While trying to locate the ghost, Nick goes missing.
Chelsea also stepped out in a soft yellow dress with embellished neckline at the 2009 Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party in Los Angeles on Friday night (September 25).
“The Tale of the Haunted Firehouse” premieres Sunday, October 11 @ 8:30PM ET/PT on Disney Channel.

It might be hard to believe, but apparently Jonas Brothers star Joe is the person to go to if you want the latest info on which bands are "cool".
According to The Veronicas - who are good pals with the Jonas Brothers since touring with the trio, Joe's taste in music is actually far from the usual Disney scene, and the Aussie twins admit that fans of the group would be shocked to see the stars playlist.
"Something people might not realize about Joe is that he has a mad playlist of great indie artists!" Lisa revealed to Mizz. "He loves to discover new music and always puts us on to some cool new bands."
"I think people have this preconceived perception that they only listen to other Disney artists."
The girls obviously have a soft spot for Joe, as when asked who the cutest member of the Jonas Brothers was, once again his name cropped up.
"They are really cool guys - and all very cute in their own ways. We're mostly friends with Joe, so we're gonna say he's the cutest." Answers Jess.

According to In Touch Weekly, a source shared that the 21-year-old musician is looking into a pre-nup with fiance Danielle Deleasa, just in case things don’t work out.
The source revealed, “Kevin sees Danielle as his soulmate, and he’s very Christian, so he’s not big on divorce. Nonetheless, he has millions to protect, so he’s asked Danielle to sign a prenup.”

Nick & Joe Jonas to Kevin: You Can’t Plan Your Own Bachelor Party
Since deciding that both of his brothers Nick and Joe will be his best men at his wedding, Kevin Jonas is now wanting to plan his own bachelor party.
But Nick and Joe aren’t going to let him. They shared with People mag, “It will be good, clean fun. We’re going to have a good time with friends and family. It won’t be in Vegas. Vegas is not really the ideal place. We are thinking somewhere even cooler and better.”
Nick added, “It’s a big deal, but Kevin kind of has already planned it himself. He will give us suggestions on what he would like and we keep on trying to tell him no. We’re like, ‘You have no involvement in planning this. Just get ready to have a good time.’”
One thing is for sure though, they’re all happy with the addition of Danielle into their family. Joe shared, “This is going to be a new step in all of our lives. We are willing to take it and we’re excited for him. It’s great to have a sister in the family.”
Kevin Jonas may not have set a wedding date yet, but the oldest Jonas Brother has one thing checked off his to-do list as he prepares to tie the knot with girlfriend Danielle Deleasa – he's chosen a best man.
Make that best men.
"I decided that it's going to be both Joe and Nick," Kevin, 21, confirms to PEOPLE on the Canadian set of Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. "Dani has an older and a younger sister, so it works out really well. I can have two best men, and she can have two maids of honor."
Now that the situation has been settled, what do the two best men have planned for the bachelor party?
"It will be good, clean fun," says Nick, 17. "We're going to have a good time with friends and family." Adds Joe, 19: "It won't be in Vegas. Vegas is not really the ideal place. We are thinking somewhere even cooler and better."

"We're all very excited about it," Nick says. "It's great that he found someone he loves, and we all love her too. I know they are going to have a great, happy marriage."
As for settling down and starting a family of his own after he gets married, Kevin, who plays a camp counselor in the Disney Channel sequel due out next year, says he would love to be a dad. "Definitely, for sure," he says. "It would be incredible to be a dad and raise a family. I hope to someday. But it won't be anytime soon."

I ♥ JONAS Marathon
Hey everyone!
Good news! Disney Channel Asia will be having a Festive Fiesta! Which includes JONAS Marathon in it! The marathon happens on the 26th September, Saturday from 4pm - 5.30pm will bring you back-to-back episodes of JONAS!! Are you excited or what?! Besides these episodes, they'll also be showing a brand new episode, Fashion Victim (refer to under Next on J.O.N.A.S)!

Nick Jonas Celebrates Birthday with Camp Rock Cast
The Jonas Brothers snap a pic together on the set of Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam as they celebrate Nick’s 17th birthday on Wednesday, September 16.
Nick dished to People mag about what his family got him for his special day. He shared, “”It’s actually the piano I wrote ‘A Little Bit Longer’ on. It’s definitely got a special meaning for me. I originally wanted to get a plaque just to put on the piano when I got there saying that I wrote the song on, but the family just decided to get it for me.”
He also got a ping-pong table! Producer Alan Sacks shared, “Nick is a sports fanatic and what he loves to do on tour besides Wiffle Ball, and softball is ping-pong. He’s a ping-pong whiz!”
It's not all work and no play for Kevin Jonas as he and his famous brothers shoot the sequel to Camp Rock up in Canada.
The oldest JoBro was able to slip away from the set for a bit to hit the Toronto Film Festival.

Kevin was a surprise guest at a special screening of Youth in Revolt, a comedy starring Michael Cera, Zach Galifianakis, Ray Liotta and newcomer Paula Doubleday, at the Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre.
"Kevin came in a side door to let the stars of the movie be in the spotlight," reports a fellow premiere-goer. "Backstage before the movie started, he talked with the cast and the filmmakers."
Despite having woken up that day at 7 a.m. for a full day of shooting, Jonas showed no signs of sleepiness. He was dressed in jeans, V-neck T-shirt and tuxedo jacket.
"He was chatting about his engagement, how he loves golf and about how he has a house in L.A. but their home base will always be Texas," the source said.
Meanwhile, the youngest brother of the musical trio, Nick, celebrated his 17th birthday with a new piano. People magazine reports the family surprised him by buying the hotel piano that he used to write "A Little Bit Longer." Camp Rock producers gave him a ping-pong table.
"It's exciting," Jonas told PEOPLE on the set of Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam about turning 17 on Wednesday. "I feel 24 hours different than when I was 16."
Busy working on The Disney Channel movie sequel, the singer did not have time for an extravagant party, but says that's the way he likes it.
"I tend to keep things low key for my birthdays in general," he said. "It's so much attention that it can be a bit overwhelming. But it's nice when people do things to celebrate. I have tonight off and I think we have something planned. We'll see how it roles out."
With his entire family on set, including his youngest brother Frankie, the cast and crew sang "Happy Birthday" to him and presented a light blue vanilla cake with cream filling.
And what did the Jonas brother get for his birthday? A piano.
"It's actually the piano I wrote 'A Little Bit Longer' on. It's definitely got a special meaning for me," he said. "I originally wanted to get a plaque just to put on the piano when I got there saying that I wrote the song on, but the family just decided to get it for me."
The piano was originally located at a hotel in Halliburton, Ontario, where the Jonas Brothers filmed the first Camp Rock. It was there where Jonas wrote the song about his diagnosis with diabetes. "I think I'm going to put it in our office where our management team works. So that will be nice. It's a nice piece of memorabilia with lots of meaning."
Besides a piano, the film's production team presented him with a Kettler ping-pong table.
"Nick is a sports fanatic and what he loves to do on tour besides Wiffle Ball, and softball is ping-pong," said Camp Rock's producer Alan Sacks. "He's a ping-pong whiz!"
Minutes after presenting him with the ping-pong table, Nick was busy paddling away.
McFly's Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd have revealed they admire the Jonas Brothers because they work so hard.
The British band were invited to play with the American teen superstars at Wembley this year, and were bowled over by how focused they were.
Harry said: "They're really nice guys, they're cool - they're very focused, they work really hard... they're quite business minded and they're always writing and recording stuff."

Hope you girls/guys are coping with the final school term well! We'd like to just clear up a little misunderstanding that some JB.SG Fans have. Some of us may know of the existence of the Malaysian JB Fansite (malaysianjbfans.wordpress.com) and might have found some similarities between MJBF & JB.SG.
Well, we'd just like to let you know that MJBF was inspired by us, JB.SG, which played a part in actually encouraging them in taking the first step to open up a Malaysian Jonas Brothers fansite. JB.SG is indeed honoured to have inspired MJBF!

Will Miley Cyrus Be Joined By The Jonas Brothers On Tour?
On Miley Cyrus' Wonder World Tour the singer has props like tractors, boats and motorcycles, but everyone wants to know: Will the Jonas Brothers be joining the show?
"I don't know," she told MTV News. "I went and saw the Jonas' show and it was cool being able to go to a Jonas Brothers' concert. It was super fun." But she noted that if the boys do make an appearance, it'll be as audience members — her tour doesn't allow for special appearances like the one she made at their show in June in Dallas.
"We don't have time for any guest appearances or anything," she added. "I think a lot of my friends will be able to come and visit. You know, the problem is a lot of my buddies are busy working too, but I hope they all can at least catch a show. That'd be really great. It was cool to be able to see the [Jonas Brothers'] show and I hope they'll be able to come here."
And just in case her friends think they have seen it all before, Cyrus promises that this tour will be a lot different than her Best of Both Worlds trek and that her look — which includes a costume change that has her donning a bejeweled bodysuit — will be "pretty wild." "It's something that I couldn't do for a while," she explained about the show, which kicked off September 14 in Portland, Oregon. "It's definitely more mature. It's super fun. It's kind of for everybody."

Life has been quite exciting recently. As you are all well aware we are up in the Toronto area now, and we can't say enough about what a beautiful city this is. In fact we played our largest show this summer right here at Rogers Center!
The city has been packed for the festival this week so it's kinda cool for us to be star watching as we go about our days. We've seen quite a few people that we respect and admire in the entertainment industry and some have had us even star struck!
I know we say it all the time but still, even amongst all the excitement here in Toronto we just can't wait to get back on tour.
Everyday we get to discuss what city's and dates we'll be playing.
What venues we'll be revisiting and what country's will be our first.
We talk about how we are stoked to see cultures from around the world, try new foods, and of course... Meet the fans we have yet to meet!

Nick Jonas slurps on a cool drink from Starbucks on way to meet up with his brothers in Toronto on Friday afternoon (September 11).
The almost 17-year-old musician’s older bros Kevin and Joe did a little bit of retail therapy before heading off to the Camp Rock 2 set.
The JoBros‘ costar Anna Maria Perez de Tagle tweeted about the night shoot, saying, “Sittin’ in Toronto traffic on the way to a long night of filming again. still on set… nothin to do but tweet…how is everyone?"
The two eldest Jonas Brothers, Kevin and Joe do a little retail therapy in downtown Toronto on a gloomy Friday afternoon (September 11).
The duo stopped off at Roots on the popular Bloor Street before heading out to get something to eat. They warned on their twitter, “Never drink meso soup fast.. Gives you burnt tounge. Ow!”
The JoBros also posted a sweet message to the survivors and families of the 9/11 Attacks. They shared, “Our hearts and prayers go out today to all the familys and victims of 9/11…JB.”

Miley Cyrus and The Jonas Brothers, have hit a musical chord with the public. For this week’s top singles in an album, Miley Cyrus came in at Number One with her single “Party In the U.S.A.”. While The Jonas Brothers came in at the seventh spot with Disney’s “Send it on”, which also features Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus & Selena Gomez.
Miley Cyrus is also scheduled to pay a visit in Jay Leno’s new show this September 16th, 2009. While The Jonas Brothers are busy with their brother’s weding plans. Here’s wishing both superstars, Miley Cyrus and The Jonas Brothers lots of good luck for th rest of the year.
Just got back from a mini-family vacation! All we have now are 6 more Wonders of the World to see.
It was nice for us to get away together as a family and enjoy the beauty that nature has to offer on this incredible weekend, but we can't wait to get back into the swing of things. We've already started to count the days until we kick off our winter portion of the tour!

Corbin Bleu & Kevin Jonas Go Beyond All Boundaries
Corbin Bleu and Kevin Jonas are just two celebrities lending their voice talents to the 4-D cinematic experience at The National World War II Museum.
Beyond All Boundaries, premièring November 6 in New Orleans, will feature the voices of Hollywood’s biggest names portraying everyday soldiers and servicemen as they fought to preserve our country’s freedom, and the journalists who covered it in their own words.
The duo join the ranks of Hollywood legends including Kevin Bacon, Blythe Danner, Brad Pitt, Gary Sinise and Tom Hanks, among others.
Tom shared about the film, “Beyond All Boundaries weaves a spectacular tapestry of World War II – authentic, powerful and inspiring. I’m proud to have served as executive producer of Beyond All Boundaries, and you can see it exclusively, every hour, at The National World War II Museum in New Orleans.”
According to reports, these guys will be skipping this year's ceremony... and it's being said that it's totally because Russell Brand is the host yet again. Back-track to last year's show and you'll remember that Brand made an unforgettable joke out of the JoBros wearing purity rings to pledge virginity until marriage. Even though Nick Jonas publicly spoke out about the incident and said there were no hard feelings, just about everyone else is saying THOSE JOKES are why Kevin, Joe and Nick will not be in attendance. On the other side though, the brothers say they'll be busy shooting more Camp Rock for us all to enjoy.
I will say that for the Jonas Brothers, who are always so entirely involved in everything, it seems like a strange and very out-of-the-ordinary move for them. Granted they have zero nominations this round. So what do you think the real reason is that the Jonas clan checked NO for their VMA RSVP? Let us know. Also, what categories, if any, should these 3-guys have been nominated for?
I just have to add that Nick also got quoted as saying that last year's shenanigan happened because it seemed like Brand was running out of material and chose the brothers to be the butt of his jokes, even calling it all a compliment in a bizarre way. Nick continued to say that Russell did a great job and wishes him a good time this year. These brothers are quite cool and collected!

The JB's are busier than ever-touring the country with Jordin Sparks and Korean pop sensations "The Wonder Girls."
But aside from their crazy work schedules, all three of the brothers have been hitting the headlines with their love-lives!
Of course we all know oldest bro Kevin is engaged to his longtime love Danielle Deleasa. So how are female fans reacting to the fact that one of the Bros is officially off the market? Well, Kevin says that JB fans have been overwhelmingly joyful about his engagement and completely respectful.
Joe Jonas has had his own amount of drama latel, as well. After his breakup with longtime girlfriend Camilla Belle, it seemed like Joe was having a difficult time rebounding. Perhaps with his teen years behind him, Joe will turn over a new leaf-oh and by the way Happy Belated 20th birthday to Joe!
And of course the real story on everyone minds surrounds Nick Jonas! Even though high school is over for the youngest JB, the drama keeps coming. After tons of speculation that he and Miley had reunited, Nick is going on the record saying that he is TOTALLY SINGLE right now and enjoying himself. This proclamation comes on the heels of Miley sort of admitting that they were spending a lot of time together. Then of course photos of NILEY jetskiing hit the web to confirm their rendezevous.
But, just when we thought that NILEY was officially back on, twitter told us something different. Miley and her ex boyfriend Justin Gaston appeared to be twittering flirtatious comments back and forth. So then we assumed that maybe Miley was moving back towards her older ex bf. Then in a crazy twist of events, the twittering between Miley and Justin has become a bit, shall we say, hostile. Most recently Miley responded to one of Justin's tweets saying "I love when people mistake bravery with writing stupid tweets trying to make it seem like they don't care. You're afraid to love." She also tweeted that she was "getting love advice from her body guard. Big guy with an even BIGGER heart."

Two friends of the racing fans in the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky region will get a leg up on their medical bills and family responsibilities through the popular Justin Vitek-Gary Birzer Benefit that will be held on Sunday at River Downs. The odds-on sales topper in the annual silent auction will be a guitar signed by the rock sensation trio The Jonas Brothers.
Cincinnatian Rob Riggsbee, who operates Insight Media associated with Nationwide Arena in Columbus, has always supported the benefit. He had an opportunity to meet the band members during the August 26 performance of The Jonas Brothers World Tour 2009 and asked them for their assistance with a donation.
“They really were nice guys and when they found out about the nature of the event were happy get behind it,” Riggsbee said.
Justin Vitek, a rider jokingly known as the “Czech from Texas,” was diagnosed last year with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia, which is the most common type of leukemia. Vitek has undergone multiple chemotherapy treatments, some of which lasted up to 24 hours. He recently had stem cell treatment and is recuperating in Texas with hopes to return to riding in the future.
In addition to the silent auction, River Downs has arranged for the Hoxworth Blood Center Bloodmobile to be at the track on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. (EDT). For every donation that is received in Vitek’s name, he’ll receive credit for that unit of blood (regardless of type) all the way down in Texas. Donors are asked to tell Hoxworth officials they are donating in his name and that his donor number is PR1090.
Jockey Gary Birzer remains paralyzed from the waist down after suffering injuries to his neck and spinal cord in a two-horse spill on July 20, 2004, at Mountaineer Park in Chester, West Virginia. Despite his current condition, which involves daily therapy and continued medical support, Birzer maintains an amazingly positive outlook toward life and enjoys raising his two children.
In 2005, River Downs began the Gary Birzer Benefit. When Birzer learned of Vitek’s plight he offered to split the proceeds of his charitable event.
“The autographed guitar should be a huge sales topper if we can get the word out,” said John Engelhardt, River Downs’ track publicist. “I’m willing to take reserve bids by phone so people outside the Cincinnati area can have a chance to get this rare item. Just give me a call at 513-354-8243. To this generation — these guys are the Beatles!”
The silent auction, which will end at approximately 5 p.m. on Sunday, will also feature racing memorabilia, equine art and racing related collectibles

With rumor swirling on street that Kevin Jonas and fiancee Danielle Deleasa have worked on their wedding date, there is a question thrown regarding which brother will be recruited as a best man for the affair. During an interview, Kevin refused to have only one best man, saying he wants both Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas for the job.
“They both are [my best man],” Kevin told radio host on Canada’s Hot 89.9 FM. “[Deleasa] actually has two sisters, kind of the same age as well. It works out really well because there are two maids of honor and two best men.”
A while back, Nick revealed talks among them indeed have been made on that matter. “We’ve talked about it a little bit [about who is going to be best man]. He’s working it all out, but we’ll see what happens,” the youngest member of Jonas Brothers explained.
Joe has also shared what he has in mind about the best man issue gushing, “I want it. I’ll be the best best man ever. Eventually if I get married, [the best man is] gonna be Nick, and when it’s Nick, [the best man is] gonna be Frankie [Jonas].”
Kevin Jonas and Danielle Deleasa’s wedding reportedly will be held in either winter this year or in spring next year. They are speculated to make their union official in the Bahamas, where they first met before then dating.
Yes, teeny boppers, the rumours are true. The Jonas Brothers are in town.
The American teen idols are shooting their latest Disney TV movie–Camp Rock 2–on the French River and when not on the set are staying at a Sudbury hotel.
For the most part the brothers have kept a low profile, but there have been a few sightings–outside their hotel, enjoying a treat at the south-end Dairy Queen, racing at the city’s go-cart track and buying fruit at a grocery store.
“We met Joe and Demi Lovato (another Disney protégé and Camp Rock co-star),” said Shauna Smagac.
Shauna and her friend Molly DePaulo ran into the Disney stars near the hotel, early Thursday evening.
“They walked down that hill over there . . . and we got Joe’s autograph,” said Shauna, who apparently did most of the talking because her friend was speechless.
“I was bawling my eyes out,” Molly said. “He (Joe) asked me why I was crying and I didn’t really answer him … I was falling on the ground.”
Molly did get a hug from Joe, the middle Jonas brother. Shauna forgot to ask for a hug, “because I was so star-struck.”
The Jonas Brothers are filming scenes of Camp Rock 2 at French River Provincial Park, about 40 minutes south of Sudbury.
“It’s crazy,” Shauna Smagac said. “I was watching their Live at Much (interview) on Sunday on TV, and they said they couldn’t say where Camp Rock 2 was being filmed but it was somewhere in Canada. I never even dreamed it would be here. It’s crazy.”
On Friday, Shauna, Molly and friend Alicia Wright were back in the south end, hoping for another encounter with one of all of the brothers–Kevin, 21, Joe, 20 and Nick, 16.

Okay, Jonas Brothers fans, I have a rare update for you. As some of you can probably guess, I don’t usually follow the band’s activities, but I stumbled onto the set for their new TV movie, Camp Rock 2, so I thought I owed you some details.
On Friday I was at Rockwood Conservation Area near Guelph with Aisha and we noticed that a big event was in the works. They were putting up a tent near the parking lot, and I they had a lot of power cables running down to the beach. That’s when I realized we were walking onto a set-in-the-making.
Rockwood has a nice big open field leading down to the beach, but on Friday there were seven or eight rustic cabins that had been built along a path leading down to a fire pit area. It looked like most of the set had already been built and they were doing set dressing and random work to make it look right.
When we asked someone what they were filming they said it was a movie called “Coin Flip”. Looking around though, Aisha noticed that there were canoes that had been painted to say “Camp Rock”, so it didn’t take much to connect the dots.
The first connection is that the Ontario Media Development Corporation has a production named “Coin Flip” on record with director Paul Hoen and producer Kevin Lafferty. Looking up their details, Hoen is the director for an upcoming TV series called Jonas, starring the brothers, and Lafferty was the producer for 2008’s Camp Rock. That’s pretty much clear proof this was indeed the Camp Rock 2 set, or possibly something connected to the new TV series.
Either way, here are a few photos from the set. If I’ve got this wrong at all, please let me know. Otherwise I’ve sent an email off to the production company to see if I can get any more info or a confirmation. I’ll post an update below if I get any more information.
Abril.com: How is it to travel with the Jonas Brothers?
Miguel Gandelman: They’re very young. Around them it’s always business, their father is their manager, but the boys are still young. They feel the need to be with young people. They’re always there with us, playing ping pong, playing baseball. And they’re always together.
Have you ever worked with a phenomenon like them?
I had never worked with an artist that was a teenage phenomenon. I played with Diana Ross, Sting, Michael Jackson, people that weren’t this phenomenon where the person is bigger than the music and the kids are screaming and go after you.
Is it always like that?
It’s a lot of screaming, and the funniest part is that it’s unbelievable. I was on stage and there girls trying to grab me, this girl came and untied my shoelaces. The other day one girl got my glasses. It’s something unbelievable, a loud mess. We went to Brazil and played for 60.000 people. For me, as a Brazilian, it was unbelievable, everybody sang all the songs.
And how are they as musicians? Is Nick really the most talented?
They’re all very talented. The oldest one [Kevin] plays the guitar, the middle one [Joe] is a very good singer and Nick is the maestro of the situation. They’re very professional. Nick, I could say, is their musical director, but they’re all very talented. Their father is a musician too, he was a pastor, singer and pianist.
How long are still going to play with the Jonas Brothers?
We’ll stop in September, because they’ll make a movie. We already have a proposition from Quincy Jones, who’s completing 50 years of career. We tour again with the Jonas Brothers in November, and we’ll go to Europe until the end of December. In 2010 we’ll be with them again. And we just received a proposition from Rod Stewart to record an album with him.
